Grievance Redressal Committee
The Grievance Redressal Committee is a mandatory, impartial statutory body established in accordance with UGC and AICTE regulations. Its primary mandate is to provide a secure, accountable and supportive environment by addressing academic, administrative, or harassment-related complaints from both students and staff. The committee operates under the direct purview of the Principal to ensure a harmonious campus atmosphere.
Key Objectives
- Prompt Resolution: To resolve issues in a time-bound, confidential and fair manner.
- Dissatisfaction Analysis: To investigate the root causes of dissatisfaction and suggest remedial measures.
- Victimization Prevention: To ensure that any student or staff member can express their problems freely without fear of being victimized.
- Stakeholder Education: To enlighten members on their duties and responsibilities to ensure they can access all benefits due under institutional policies.

Scope of Grievances
The committee is empowered to review a wide range of issues, including:
- Academic Matters: Disputes over grades, course requirements and internal assessments.
- Administrative Issues: Problems with admissions, fines, transport, amenities or infrastructure maintenance.
- Conduct and Harassment: Complaints regarding the conduct of faculty/staff or instances of harassment and ragging.
Procedure for Lodging a Complaint
Aggrieved individuals have multiple channels to seek redressal:
- Offline: Submission of written complaints via complaint box placed near the main gate. These boxes are typically reviewed once a week.
- Online: Grievances can be filed via the college email at sacredheartcollegedhani@gmail.com
- Direct Approach: Students may also approach the chairperson or committee members in the college office to file paperwork.
