Governing Body
The college governing body usually consists of members of the management (such as president/secretary), principal, teacher representatives (elected), non-teaching staff representatives (elected), university nominees, academicians and sometimes student representatives, who control the administration, development and policies of the college.
Main members and roles:
Management Members: It consists of the President, Secretary and other Management representatives, who are elected as per the Constitution of the College.
Principal: He is the ex-officio member of the Governing Body and looks after the day-to-day affairs of the college.
Teaching Staff Representatives: These are members elected by the teaching staff of the college from amongst themselves.
Non-Teaching Staff Representatives: These are also elected by their employees.
University Nominees: Members sent by the affiliating university.
Educationist: Expert nominated by the management.
